On the 2nd Annual Eunice Kennedy Shriver (EKS) Day, the Special Olympics Movement celebrated the spirit and legacy of our founder, Eunice Kennedy Shriver. More than 150 U.S. States and countries around the world participated in nearly 400 events to celebrate Eunice Kennedy Shriver and her dedication to empowering people with intellectual disabilities. The events held around the world encouraged people with and without intellectual disabilities to join together on playing fields to teach the world to live unified.
We want to make sure everyone got a chance to see some of the great highlights from the day, so check out the great photo slideshow and read about a variety of other events below!
