On Thursday, Special Olympics and Hilton Worldwide held a reception to celebrate their new partnership.   Special Olympics is a Movement that organizes events throughout the world.  Hilton’s vision is to “fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality.” During our partnership event, Paul Brown, the President of Global Brands & Commercial Services of Hilton Worldwide, shared that “at Hilton Worldwide, we believe we do more than just help people travel—we provide the ability for people to have new experiences and share those experiences with others throughout their travels and even those back home.” 

As I walk around Athens and see athletes, volunteers, coaches, and other Movement members from throughout the world, I am reminded that we too share a common cause.  World Games are our key vehicle for bringing people together toward a world of acceptance and inclusion—something that we work on in less noticed ways every single day. Like Hilton, Special Olympics strives to reach across geographies to bring light and warmth to the world.  I could not be more thrilled to welcome our newest sponsor to our Special Olympics family.
