Some exciting news from Special Olympics Latin America –
SOLA is making HUGE strides for the movement by connecting with local and international football (soccer) communities. In the last few months SOLA has taken part in two massive events with FIFA, at the South American Women’s Championships in Quito, Equador, and SOCCEREX (only the most important football convention in the world). Plus, FIFA President Joseph Blatter was named ambassador to Special Olympics Ecuador. What a great step for Special Olympics in developing respect and acceptance for individuals with intellectual disabilities in Latin America. Se un fan del respeto!
